The Ziziphus jujuba plant species is found in E. Asia - China, Japan. It is a member of the Rhamnaceae family. Common gardeners may know the plant as Jujube. Some home gardeners know the variety as Z. sativa. Z. vulgaris. Z. zizyphus. (L.)Karsten. Rhamnus zizyphus.

General Uses:  Plants can be grown as a hedge[178]. Wood - dense, hard, compact, tough. Used for turnery, agricultural implements etc[74, 146, 158]. It makes an excellent fuel[146] and a good charcoal[158].
