Medicinal Information:  The curved thorns on the stems are antispasmodic, carminative, febrifuge and hepatic[147]. A decoction is used in the treatment of infantile convulsions, headaches, dizziness, hypertension and apoplexy[147]. The decoction should not be overcooked[147].
