Habitat:  Shady and moist places in montane forests, climbing on trees or cliff walls[147].

Medicinal Information: The root tuber is depurative and febrifuge[147]. It stimulates blood circulation and relaxes the muscles[147]. The root is used in the treatment of diphtheria, boils and ulcers, traumatic bleeding, snakebites, rheumatoid aches and pains in the backs and legs[147]. It is used internally in decoction, or the crushed root can be used externally as a poultice.
