The Ribes aureum plant species is found in Western N. America - Saskatchewan to Washington, south to California. Naturalized in C. Europe. It is a member of the Grossulariaceae family. Common gardeners may know the plant as Golden currant. Some home gardeners know the variety as R. tenuiflorum.
