The Rhamnus dahuricus plant species is found in E. Asia - Siberia to China. It is a member of the Rhamnaceae family. Common gardeners may know the plant as Dahurian buckthorn.

Known Hazards:  Although no specific mention of toxicity has been found for this species, there is the suggestion that some members of this genus could be mildly poisonous[65].

Habitat:  Forest undergrowth in the Himalayas[146].



Cultivation Notes:  An easily grown plant, it succeeds in any reasonably good soil[11]. This species is very closely related to R. cathartica[11]. The species in this genus are notably resistant to honey fungus[200].
