The Nuphar lutea plant species is found in Britain. It is a member of the Nymphaeaceae family. Common gardeners may know the plant as Yellow water lily. Some home gardeners know the variety as Nymphaea lutea.

Known Hazards:  There are a number of reports that the plant is edible but one report suggests that the plant is poisonous without giving further details[19].

Habitat:  Deep, slow moving or still water to a depth of 3m[19, 100].
