The Microseris procera plant species is found in Western N. America - Washington to California. It is a member of the Compositae family. Common gardeners may know the plant as Yam daisy. Some home gardeners know the variety as M. laciniata. (Hook.)Schultz-Bip. Scorzonella maxima.

Cultivation Notes:  We have very little information on this species and do not know if it will be hardy in Britain, though judging by its native range it should succeed outdoors in most parts of this country.
