The Ilex cornuta plant species is found in E. Asia - E. China, Korea. It is a member of the Aquifoliaceae family. Common gardeners may know the plant as Horned holly.

Known Hazards:  Although no reports of toxicity have been seen for this species, at least some members of this genus are slightly toxic so some caution is advised.

Habitat:  Ravines and hills, 150 - 600 metres[184]. Wild places and alongside mountain paths in full sunshine[147].
