Cultivation Notes: We have very little information on this species and do not know if it will be hardy in Britain, though judging by its native range it could succeed outdoors in parts of this country. This species is no more than a part of E. peduncularis. Boiss. according to one report[146]. The following notes are based on the general needs of the genus.
Requires a well-drained loamy soil and a sunny position[11]. Established plants are drought resistant and are also lime tolerant[200].
Dioecious, male and female plants must be grown in fruit and seed are required.
