The Delphinium menziesii plant species is found in Western N. America - British Columbia to California. It is a member of the Ranunculaceae family. Common gardeners may know the plant as Larkspur.

Known Hazards:  All parts of the plant are toxic[172]. The plant is most toxic when it is young[200].

Habitat:  Coastal bluffs and prairies to lower montane meadows[60].



General Uses:  A parasiticide is obtained from the leaves[172]. It is quite toxic and so is for external use only. A blue dye can be obtained from the flowers[257].
