Habitat:  The original habitat is obscure.



Cultivation Notes:  Succeeds in ordinary garden soil and in acid soils[1, 52]. Prefers a well-drained fertile soil in full sun[200]. Prefers light shade in the summer[33, 52]. Commonly grown in the flower garden[1], it makes a good edging plant[52].
