There is a lot of confusion over this name. We have found it listed under 4 different authors. Apart from the one listed above we have also seen C. davurica. (Herbert.)G.Don., C. davurica. (Herbert.)Sweet. and C. davurica. Turcz. This last is quoted as a synonym of C. pellita. (Ldb.)G.Don., a species that is found in E. Asia growing on dry herbaceous slopes, meadows, shrubby thickets and fallow land[74].
